The Main Properties Of POF Shrink Film

Author: admin / 2021-07-19

POF shrink film is the replacement product of traditional PVC heat shrinkable film, widely used in automotive supplies, plastic products, handicrafts, food and other products. It is mainly used for packaging regular and irregular shaped products. It has the characteristics of environmental protection, high transparency, high shrinkage, toughness, and tear resistance. Today we will take a look at its main performance.

Main raw materials

The main raw materials of the three-layer co-extruded heat-shrinkable packaging film include LLDPE (linear low-density polyethylene), TPP (ternary copolymer polypropylene), PPC (binary copolymer polypropylene) and necessary functional auxiliaries such as slip agent, Anti-blocking agents, antistatic agents, etc. These raw materials are environmentally friendly non-toxic materials, no toxic gases and odors are produced during the processing and application of the products. The hygienic properties of the products comply with the FDA and USDA standards and can be used for packaging foods.

Production process

The three-layer co-extruded heat-shrinkable packaging film is made of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and copolymerized polypropylene (TPP, PPC) as the main raw materials, added necessary additives, and processed by a co-extrusion blow molding process. Different from the traditional blow molding process, due to the poor tensile properties of the PP melt state, the traditional blow molding process cannot be adopted, and the double bubble process is adopted. The internationally known process is also referred to as the Prady process, which uses different raw materials for extrusion. Extrusion melt extrusion, through the special design of the co-extrusion die, formed after the initial film quenching, and then heated after the second blow stretched products.

The main performance

Product specifications

Three-layer co-extruded heat shrinkable film can be produced according to the use of a variety of specifications, the general thickness range of 12μm ~ 30μm, commonly used thickness of 12μm, 15μm, 19μm, 25μm, etc., depending on the width of the packaging size of the volume.

cold resistance

The three-layer co-extruded heat-shrinkable packaging film remains soft at -50°C without embrittlement, making it suitable for storage and transportation of packaged goods in cold environments.

Hygienic properties

The raw materials of the three-layer co-extruded heat-shrinkable packaging film are all environmentally-friendly and non-toxic materials, which are hygienic and non-toxic during processing and use. They conform to the national FDA and USDA standards and can be used for food packaging.
